About Shannon

I’m Shannon Shepley, Founder of Wise Words For Life, and I help ambitious professionals and IELTS candidates unlock global opportunities through precise, confident English communication.
With over 15 years of professional teaching experience, I bring deep expertise in grammar, academic writing, and advanced communication. I taught English as a First Language at secondary school level for 12 years (IEB and Cambridge), building a strong foundation in high-level writing and language structure. For the past five years, I have specialised in online ESL coaching for adult non-native English speakers. Through structured, diagnostic coaching, I have helped hundreds of candidates achieve IELTS Band 7+ and develop advanced-level fluency.
I hold a Bachelor of Humanities (cum laude), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), a 190-hour TESOL certification, and specialist certifications in IELTS coaching and proofreading.
